More… As one of the very few skipjacks ever built on the Western Shore, and one of only a handful of surviving skipjacks, we need your help keeping her sails full. Become a plank holder and you won’t just have your name linked to a disappearing part of our maritime past, you’ll also help with the care and maintenance of this beautiful wooden vessel. It is very expensive to maintain an old wooden boat, keep the certification up to date, and meet all of the safety requirements. We could not sustain this effort without your support. With each year of continued support, plank holders will receive a certificate recognizing their donation, and will be invited on an exclusive annual plank holder’s sail in May. Contributors of $2,500 or more will also receive a personalized engraved plank taken directly from the Dee during her restoration. You can become a plank holder by completing the online form, or by contacting our Development Office at 410-326-2042, ext. 17 or 32. Less…
